Módulo W

This project explores the structural and spatial potential of a single sheet of aluminium. Through a sequence of precise cuts and folds, the flat metal plane transforms into a self supporting modular object designed for storage. The piece is produced using only two operations, cutting and folding, without the addition of connectors, fasteners, adhesives, or secondary materials. The geometry itself generates the structure. The resulting module can be oriented in three different directions, each offering a distinct configuration and use. Depending on its position, the object functions as a horizontal shelf, a vertical storage element, or a compositional system that can expand through repetition. This flexibility allows the module to adapt to different scales and types of objects while maintaining a consistent formal language. By reducing the construction process to the manipulation of a single material, the project investigates efficiency, reversibility, and the expressive capacity of folded aluminium. The object operates simultaneously as a functional storage element and as a study in modular geometry.
